I was born and partially raised in Georgia, but I have spent the majority of my life in Texas. I live in East Texas, and the tall pine trees remind me of my grandparents’ home in Georgia, which I often visited as a child. In therapy, I love incorporating creative expressions in the therapeutic process. My counseling style usually encourages art, music, and sandtray exploration.

My father taught me the importance of a strong work ethic; when I do not see clients at Sense of Self Counseling, I work full-time, providing counseling services to students on different school campuses through a local non-profit organization. I have received extensive training in TBRI, sandtray, and the use of play in therapy.

My approach to therapy is holistic because I incorporate the mind, body, and spirit into the counseling process. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, my husband, and two cats, watching films with friends and loved ones, and participating in activities and rituals that fill up my spiritual, emotional, and physical cup.

I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing, creating a judgment-free environment for you to explore yourself. As Rupi Kaur eloquently stated, “To heal, you have to get to the root of the wound and kiss it all the way up.” Let’s gently dig into the earth that is your story, water it with love, and see what grows.
