I am a Counseling Student Intern at the University of Texas at Tyler, and I have a strong passion for helping others. My interest in counseling began when I learned about the profound impact that compassionate support and understanding could have on someone's life. Discovering this impact inspired me to pursue a career in serving others. Originally from Sulphur Springs, TX, I have lived in Tyler for several years, which has fueled my strong desire to serve my community.
I am on track to graduate with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May of 2025 from The University of Texas at Tyler. While at the East Texas Crisis Center, I gained invaluable experience in trauma-informed counseling and loved every minute! To broaden my experience, I am now focusing on working with couples. Through this work, I hope to help normalize couples' inevitable challenges while helping navigate and strengthen their relationships.
When I’m not in the office, classroom, or library, I listen to podcasts, work at the gym, or spend quality time with my rescues, Remy and Bubbles. Self-care is vital for helping me provide the best care possible, and these activities help me recharge and stay present for my clients.
My approach to Couples Therapy is rooted in the belief that all couples have the capacity for growth and healing. I am passionate about helping couples navigate their challenges through the lens of Gottman, Object-Relations Theory, and Relational-Cultural Therapy, nurturing deeper connections and understanding between partners. When it comes to challenges in your relationship, I am here to support you every step of the way.
