I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with a certification in EMDR and a passion for helping the East Texas Community. After receiving a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler, I started assisting survivors of abuse through their healing journey at the East Texas Crisis Center. As a Therapist and Director of Client Services at the non-profit ETCC,  I was privileged to serve families impacted by trauma and abuse while furthering the center’s community outreach and education mission.

At Sense of Self Counseling, I want to continue connecting with clients through EMDR, often integrating play, movement, and sandtray into our counseling to focus on their individual growth and resilience.

As a TBRI Practitioner, I assist caregivers in their parenting journey to help their kids overcome emotional challenges and strengthen their parent-child bonding.

I served children, adolescents, and adults who may be challenged by depression, anxiety, complex PTSD, dissociation, and grief due to traumatic experiences.  Additionally, she enjoys supervising new professionals during their internships or licensing journeys!

I am Colombian, born and raised in Bogota, the capital; however, I have been part of the East Texas community for over 12 years. I am passionate about volunteering or collaborating with organizations and events such as the Baby Block Party, the UT Tyler Social Work Advisory Committee, and the Neurodivergent Advocates of East Texas. When free, I love hiking, camping, or running with my husband and dog Ori; I treasure playing board games and laughing with friends and family around the tabletop.
